well if your not worried about gas money you could go about a hour up the road to st.augastine and take the tour or go to the foutain of youth . you could also go to daytona beach

IF you are on the budget, and want to check out one or two parks, check the Disney store by you
You can get the past early(pay for it before you go), so you can budget it in a few months before
Also these passes gives you 20% of things
You can get a day or two pass, and save money while you are there

    Downtown disney is cool
They are a lot to do there

I would look up Orlando tourism commisson, and see what they have to offer

Downtown Disney can be a lot of fun if you either love to shop or have little kids who love to toy stores. They sometimes have little shows going on outside the World of Disney store.

If you have time to save, you may want to try to save a little bit of money each week and put it aside for a 1-2 day pass. You can purchase Magic Your Way tickets for as little as $30 a day per adult/$24 per child. Cheaper if you can get a AAA discount or some other discount. if you can swing this, it would be worth it to just go to the Magic Kingdom for the day.

It’s about $10 to go to Disney Wide World of Sports Complex.

If you go to Downtown Disney you may want to check the prices for DisneyQuest.

    Go to http://www.mousesavers.com
They have a column entirely devoted to free things to do at Disney and seeing Disney on a budget.

I think if you are coming you should try to squeeze a theme park in to the budget. You can do it cheaper if you do a special even party like Pirate/Princess or Halloween/christmas parties since you only get in in the evening and the tickets are $40 and under…

Otherwise – i wouldn’t pick Orlando as the destination…I’d pick closer to a coast and enjoy the beach and all that as a more economical trip. Maybe come over and see KSC and all that…

I dont think it is worth going without theme parks. I would go somewhere else. Go to the beach! Florida beaches are awesome.
To go to Orlando without theme parks will be so disappointing for the kids! Its like being having your birthday without presents or cake.
