To avoid any hidden charges, ASK when you reserve or check in what the TOTAL charge will be. You can just walk in, but if it’s a popular place, they may not have any rooms. Better to try to make a reservation, even if only a day or two in advance. When you check in, you will be asked for ID plus a form of payment. Checking out is no problem – they give you a bill and you pay it.

It really depends on the hotel as to what type of charges they have. Some of them charge for parking and other fees. You have to do some research if you want to know specifically we don’t know what hotel your going to stay at

Just ask the front desk staff; they will explain exactly how much the room will cost, including any taxes or surcharges. Things like movies in your room or room service will be extra. At the end of your stay, you check out at the front desk, return your key, and they will print you a bill, which is what you will pay.

You will have a room charge with an additional tax charge. There may be a parking fee if you have a car. The larger hotels usually charge for parking. DO NOT USE A DEBIT CARD!!!!! The hotel will put a hold on your card for the amount of room and tax with an additional incidental charge. The reason for this is to make sure you have enough money to cover what you charge.

If they have rooms when you get there you may walk in, however, depending on what is going on in town, you may not be able to.
